Do you use social media to choose products?

Wednesday, February 21, 2018

Does this hold true for you? I have found that when my friends have used and endorsed products of all kinds that I am more likely to purchase a product. This has been especially true for me relating to health care supplies and choices. Somehow knowing someone has tried an item or a company out and had a great experience makes all the difference in my purchase behavior.

But does this hold true for advertisement as well? As the internet becomes smarter and smarter, I know companies are finding me through my own search behaviors and I can't decide if I love or hate the new technology and convenience it brings. I feel like this holds true for all generations, so I found some of this information from Forbes particularly interesting.

"A common misconception ... is that baby boomers aren’t online. This, however, is far from the truth. More and more of them are discovering social media and its many benefits. As a matter of fact, according to a study by Google, boomers and seniors spend more time online than they do watching TV"

If this is true, leveraging the internet and information to offer better and friendlier experiences is going to be more important by the day. What would help you to have a better experience?
