McKesson 4 Wheel Rollators - How to they stack up?

Rollators, or commonly known as 4 wheel rollators, rolling walkers, or walker with wheels, are excellent mobility aids. However, selecting one can be cumbersome and leave you questioning, which one is right for me? SkyBlue wants to help you elevauate the different kind of rollators to ensure you have the right one to suit your needs. There are three main attributes users look at (in additional to personal preference attributes) when deciding which rollator to purchase. These  are: size (dimensions and weight), weight capacity, and price.

  • Size: Size of a rollator encompasses a couple of attributes of the rollator, including actual size of the product and weight. Be sure to look at the overall height (wheel to handle bar) and seat height. Width is also important to ensure you can move around easily enough in a given space. Lastly, the weight of the product is extremely important. Be sure to select a rollator you can easily maneuver, inculding lifting for storage (in home or vehicle). Most rollators are made of steel. This makes the rollator sturdy, yet could be heavy for some individuals. If a lighter rollator (under 20lbs) is desired, we would recommend the McKesson Lightweight Rollator, only weighing 13lbs.

  • Weight capacity: The purpose of a rollator is to aid you in mobility, which requires you to put your weight on the product. In some cases, you may even sit on the rollator. The regular 4 wheel McKesson rollator can hold up ot 300lbs. In the event a larger weight capacity is required, McKesson also makes a bariatric rollator which can hold up to 400lbs and is also wider and taller in overall size.

  • Price: Let's be honest, when purchasing products, sometimes it all comes down to price. If you want an overall basic, its going to do the job rollator, the 4 wheel rollator is a great option for under $60.00 However, all of the McKesson brand rollators are great alternatives to the national brands, with similar quality.
